Over the past 8 years, Expo Guys, a South African Exhibition Infrastructure and Hire Company, has proudly supported the German Ministry by building exhibition stands for their German Pavilions at various exhibitions and trade shows in South Africa and across the African continent.

Expo Guys first began their journey with Germany back in 2015 when they built a German Pavilion at the Auto Mechanika Exhibition, organised by Messe Frankfurt in Johannesburg. Since then, Expo guys has been invited by the German Ministry to tender on various projects to build exhibition stands for their German Exhibition Pavilions. Patrick Croning, Business Development Manager for Expo Guys says:  “It is an honor to be awarded these tenders as we are up against the likes of other German exhibition stand builders and are competing on an international level in the exhibition industry. These tenders are also not open to everyone and are by invite only which is an honour in itself”.

Expo Guys’ most recent exhibition stand build was at the Dental & Oral Health Congress and Exhibition which took place at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg in August 2022. This was the fourth Exhibition Pavilion that Expo Guys has built for the Germans this year. With only 20 hours to build and complete the very detailed exhibition pavilion from start to finish, Expo Guys came out on top with an ecstatic client.

The German Ministry brings German companies to exhibit and market their products at exhibitions in South Africa and other African countries. Expo Guys are contracted by the Ministry to provide stand concepts and design, build infrastructure and provide items on hire, including: Light boxes, table and chair hire, shell scheme walling and custom walling, fitted carpets, full colour prints and graphics, rigging, custom counters and furniture hire, fully operational kitchens and offices, Air conditioning (in-house), Raised flooring and beveled edging, IT connectivity as well as PA Systems and Audio Visual equipment hire.

Over 300 modern furniture pieces for hire. 500m2 of adjustable substructure for flooring, designed to run cables and pipes underneath: and 200 infrared heaters for hire.

Custom Exhibition Stands

Expo Guys has an innovative team of in-house stand designers. In addition to conventional components, they offer a European spec square profile for a sleek and sophisticated stand look. The team, overseen by a creative director, uses the latest design technology and software to create award winning exhibition stands.

Printing

Expo Guys has an in-house print studio which offer high quality vinyl printing and cutting, using eco-friendly inks. They also provide printed fabric solutions.

Exhibition Electrical Hire

Expo Guys is the preferred supplier and responsible for electrical management at two major exhibition and function venues in Johannesburg. They keep significant stock of electrical infrastructure materials and fittings which enables them to provide electrics for some of the largest exhibitions in South Africa.

They have built exhibition stands in countries such as Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique, Rwanda and Botswana.
